I am seeking for a CAN-compatible CPU (maybe ARM or another embedded processor) where linux or winCE is running. Following that I intend to establish an application beeing capable to "listen" to the CAN-interface/bus to auire engine data. speed and so an and create a database from it.
Anybody allready worked on a CAN-app wit wxwidgets?
CAN application with wxWidgets @ wxembedded
Not directly the two. But if you can get hold of a Windows CE compatible platform, I see no reason why you cannot interface with the CAN bus. Although I think that part of the logic you will have to write yourself. Another option might be buying a CAN card (PCI) for in your PC, and run Linux + wxWidgets. More freedom and I assume CAN support is built into linux (or can be easily installed as driver). The latter solution seems to be cheaper then a PDA / embedded device that also supports CAN.
