May I contribute my set of components?(for skins)

If you are using the main C++ distribution of wxWidgets, Feel free to ask any question related to wxWidgets development here. This means questions regarding to C++ and wxWidgets, not compile problems.

May I contribute my set of components?(for skins)

Post by AkuAku2 » Tue May 19, 2009 4:06 pm

Hi, guys.

I used wxWidgets in my last project and have good feelings about it.
Great work.

But it have some gaps for me, which I coded myself.
I were need a comprehensive set of custom shaped components: general purpose buttons, panels, tables and so on.
I saw that there is wxSkin but its was not quite usefull for me.

Now, as I see, I can share with community my results.

Sure, there is a forum section called the code dump for stuff like this; and if you're willign to maintain it long-term, you could even look at wxCode

My set of components based on ideas from Audacity.

They have only quite ugly and basic realisation of some classes.

I was rework it and made more sophisticate set of classes.

For example my CSButton can work in several modes: with mouseover support or without, click or toggle.

Class CSTable are my try to create GUI table with graphical elements.

With whom I can discuss technical matters?
For example where to place such stuff?
Is it to be add-on? or part of wxCode? or main hierarchy of classes?

wxCode contains add-ons, so it's not add-ons or wxCode, it's add-on, hosted on wxCode or somewhere ;) Some people "host" their add-ons on this forum, in the Code Dump section

About "main hierarchy of classes", do you mean inclusion in the main wx tree? If so you should use the mailing list; but I'm telling you right away you should probably read about development priorities, coding style, etc. of wxWidgets before trying to submit anything for the main package :)

Ok, sure.
Thank you for your suggestion.
Probably I'll start from wxCode.

I just not so familiar with your customs.
