default application icon with wxwidgets in msw

Post by bobasaurus » Thu Jun 14, 2007 9:31 pm

Can someone tell me how to change the default application/file icon for a compiled wxwidgets program? I've set the window icon using:

Code: Select all

wxIcon icon("some_icon.ico", wxBITMAP_TYPE_ICO, 32, 32);
frame->SetIcon(icon);
which works fine, but the icon for the compiled executable is always WXICON_AAA in the wx.rc resource file. I'm using Visual Studio 2003... not sure if it's a project setting somewhere in the IDE or something to do with this resource file.

make your own MyApp.rc file like that:

Code: Select all

appicon ICON   "some_icon.ico"
and just compile it inside your application.
