wxWidgets.org needs screenshots!

Do you like to promote your wxWidgets based application or component!? Post it here and let's see what the critics have to say. Also, if you found that ONE wx component the world needs to know about, put it here for future reference.

wxWidgets.org needs screenshots!

Post by kevino »

We're almost finished with the re-design of wxWidgets.org, but one last thing I'd like to do is get some modern app screenshots to show off on the wxWidgets.org homepage. I'd prefer screenshots with at least Win/Linux versions, and hopefully Mac too, but the primary criteria is that the app is something publicly released and that shows off what wxWidgets can do.

To see what the new site will look like, and how the screenshot will be integrated into the front page, you can go here:

http://www.wxwidgets.org/newsite

Thanks in advance!

Suggestion

Suggestion: Instead of having Bitwise screenshot at the top, can you make a animated gif of the screenshots, like of Bitwise, Audacity, poEDIT

Hi,

If I may comment, the new site looks very nice, the only thing that disturb me is the darkblue on the top (from the old site)

That was one of the items on the list to be worked on and has been, just hasn't made it onto the official copy yet:

Wow, this software looks awesome! However, I don't want to put software on the front page that isn't released yet, just because I don't want people to think there aren't that many wx apps that are already out there.

But please post a message here and to wx-users when you release this. I'll be happy to add screenshots at that time, and if it comes with some pre-existing wall textures, weapons/characters, etc. and has a basic English interface, I'd like to actually give it a try myself. :D (If you have a Mac version, I can try that too!) I've never done any game design outside of making DOOM mods, but this software just looks like it'd be a lot of fun to play with. :-)
