BitWise IM Version 1.0.6 is available from www.bitwiseim.com for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux, thanks to wxWidgets. BitWise IM is an encrypted cross-platform instant messenger featuring text messaging, whiteboards, file sharing, voice chat, offline messaging and more.

BitWise 1.0.6 adds the ability to have your own RSA key pair (BitWise Plus), additional updated graphics, stacking toaster popups, whiteboard enhancements, and many other improvements and bug fixes. Thanks to additions to wxWidgets, BitWise now has native toolbars on Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger).

Main Features:

128-bit Blowfish encryption
Text messaging with "tabbed" interface
Whiteboards for visual communication
File Sharing and advanced file transfer manager
Voice chat, direct-to-IP for low lag and excellent quality
Logging, both in plaintext or XML, with log viewer
Offline messaging
Unicode capable

BitWise was made with wxWidgets 2.6.2 on all platforms. BitWise also utilizes the open source Crypto++, Portaudio and Speex libraries.

Advertisements are allowed, even commercial ones. As long as the app is made with wxWidgets ofcourse.

I wouldn't consider myself a core developer. I am a developer, yes, and co-author of the book, but don't give me more credit than I deserve. 8) Core developer is not a title that I've earned yet!
