Touch Screen KeyBoard

Hey I am very new at using wxwidgets and I have a touch screen computer that I am going to use one of my programs on but when I click on the text control boxes the built in keyboard doesn't pop up like it would usually would is there an easy way to fix this or will I need to design a new key board and If I do have to design a new keyboard is there any good tutorials on creating them?
