That's nasty!
Unrelated most like, but some compilers won't allow declarations like long style; within a case without begin gaurded by {}

Dirty screen actually made it harder because I was thinking of something else, like one of those commas in the string of wxSize declarations was a period. That can be really nasty...Tyler wrote:lol. you got it! I wonder if I hadn't put "Dirty Screen" in the title would you have still found it so quickly? That one hung me up for three hours!!Ryan Norton wrote:Ahh I spotted it....
its a period just a few spaces past the arrow.
Nasty was right.

Hahaha I have dead pixels on my laptop and spot all dots instantaneausly. So I must assume the . on the screen that moves along with the pic is actually a punctuation sign that looks like a spec of dirt ? Or else I have a MOVING DEAD PIXEL! That would be horrid....

- Dell 17"
- Samsung 15"
Well actually my brother took my 17" samsung. I hardly use the other LCD anyways.

my mum got the good Samsung... that one had extrapolation
mines a 5 year old Acer display... around 10-20 dead pixels by this time
Lets do some math...
1024 * 768 = 786 432 pixels.
99.9% * 786 432 = 785 645.568 pixels (must be "alive")
786 432 - 785 645 = 787 pixels'
So.... before you can change your monitor... you need to have 787 pixels dead? or was it 99.99% for the industry standard? if so...
1024 * 768 = 786 432 pixels.
99.99% * 786 432 = 786 353.3568 pixels (must be "alive")
786 432 - 786 353 = 79 pixels
Thats more like it

Here in the Netherlands, 3 dead pixels is enough to return it. There are manufacturers who guarantee 0 dead pixels or you can return it. Strangely most shops will not even let you preview the monitor before you buy it. It's like buying a piece of equipment which might work 99,9% but also 100% .. you just have to accept it.
Luckily my laptop has no dead pixels, at work I have something else called a piece of dust behind the TFT film .. it's more like 3 or 4 pixels are present on a very fuzzy spot.
