Modern UI ?

Post by John »

Hi All,

I've been using wxWidgets for the last five years: it's easy an efficient but the final look is now a bit outdated.
I'd like to know if there is a way to give wxWidgets applications the "Modern UI" (a.k.a Metro) look ?

Thanks for your answers
John

wxWidgets uses native controls wherever possible. If you get a Windows 2000 style look, you forgot to add a manifest file to your executable.

Can you show a screenshot? Either of what your app looks like or of what kind of look you expect.
Use the source, Luke!

HA-HA-HA
"Metro" is dead

I recommend to use "AUI"

I am more curious about using a wxRibbon together with wxAUI, so forgive the off-topic post.

This used to be very easy as of 2.9.x, but layout appears to be "broken" post 3.0 (I probably just did it wrong before).

Does anyone know how to get that working?

But...why? Why don't you open a new, relevant topic, without any need to be forgiven?
