I suggest you read "databaselayer_documentation_1.7.5.zip/html/compiling.html".
This topic/thread is about the next firebird release and if you have no success compiling then start a new thread/topic with your question.

The title is little misleading. It doesn't state firebird

Re:
This is great piece of software! Is there planned releases? SVN shows very little activity dating long times. Not a good signalbone wrote:My hurried mistake. Should have been Databaselayer next release.

Re: Next DatabaseLayer release
I have used it for Firebird only and had to make many code changes after the last release because of memory leaks, unhandled errors and others. I did send an email to the maintainer but got no reply so maybe it didn't get through.
Good potential in the code so I continue with it.

Re: Next DatabaseLayer release
I corrected on issue related to DatabaseLayer in it's work with Firebird. I also emailed it to maintainer.
I will be waiting for reply. It seems that there are some people using DatabaseLayer and even making corrections to it.
But the idea is how to post it into svn. Or should we setup new svn for it?

I believe DBL can be revived. May be forking it and continue development?RomanV wrote:I corrected on issue related to DatabaseLayer in it's work with Firebird. I also emailed it to maintainer.

I had to go to SOCI after frustrations I had with DBL and with no time at hand and only knowledge of MySQL!
