Popular software unsuspectedly using wxWidgets

Post by AkiraDev » Sun Aug 21, 2005 12:18 am

I just found this out yesterday: the internet's most popular podcasting client program, iPodder, seems to be developed - at least at some point - using wxWidgets.

I just installed it and checked under the installation folder under windows - there is a wxWidgets 2.5.3 runtime in there, as well as XRC resources. Strangely enough, I could not find the DLL dependency in the executable.

Just thought it would be good to know, considering they don't advertise any use of wxWidgets in their website either.
Back, just not as often

Windows Vista SP1, Ubuntu 8.04
MinGW 3.4.5, GCC 4.2.1
Code::Blocks
wxWidgets 2.8.9

wxWidgets is listed as their user interface: http://sourceforge.net/projects/ipodder/

(Mods: I don't think this post was meant to be a "question" post)

iPodder itself is in Java (so I see in the CVS) but iSpider uses wxPython. Pretty neat :-)
