No Mistake!

Post by eduardof » Tue Jun 28, 2005 6:03 pm

No mistake! It means we will possibly have a version for Linux and Mac shortly!

Just because they used another tool, it doesn't mean they are wrong, ABX. Being radical is bad for wxWidgets and bad, well, for yourself.

I, for one, use the best tool available for each job. Currently, wxWidgets stood out as a nice tool and we are using it actively. And QT too. And Mono too.

No hard feelings, please ;)

That's not about hard feelings. That's something I noticed immediatelly after launching Google Earth. While the right part with mouse browsing is great, the left side of the window and menu looks completly unnatural on windows platform. I imagined it _without_ knowing they used QT. Then I went for google earth directory and found qt libs. I myself do use other toolkits than wxWidgets believe me. But they are specialised closed applications. From that type of app like Google Earth I would expect to write application with native look and feel. IIRC other Google apps use native l&f.
