WxDevCpp and CodeBlocks

Post by Shaba1 » Tue Aug 22, 2006 11:14 pm

I am a new C++ programmer. Although I dabbled in C in the mid 90s. I also a an intermediate level Java programmer. I just download wxDevCpp.(Dev CPP Core, Form Designer Version 6.8)

Is the a way of using code blocks at the IDE/front in to this compiler WITHOUT destroying the wxDevCpp interface?

Thanks in Advance.

dev-cpp is a ide
codeblocks is a ide
mingw gcc is a compiler

with codeblocks you can use many compilers

also you can use the already by devcpp installed MinGW gcc compiler with codeblocks, without breaking anything.
you just need to set the path to (base directory?)\MingW\bin
in the "compiler settings -> Programs" options, so that codeblocks can find the compiler tools.
