Using DLLs

Post by wxwidget » Mon Aug 21, 2006 11:23 am

How do I modify the default wxWidgets examples to use DLLs instead of compiling into the exe?

TIA
I'm new to C++, please be kind :D

first you need to build wxwidgets with SHARED=1

then you need to add the additional commandline option

Code: Select all

-DWXUSINGDLL
in
Project Options -> Parameters -> C++

and update your entries in
Project Options -> Directories -> ...

as well so that the linker can find your wx-shared-library
