question installing wxDev C with Dev C

I have the straight Dev C ++ installed with IDE settings as I like it.
But now I see this wxDev C++ that also has a Resource IDE builder that uses widgets.
(1) Is this the same IDE and compiler as the original Bloodshed Dev C++ (the one I'm using) ?? only it has the Resource IDE added in ?
OR
(2) Is it a different App or setup etc that's not quite the same ?
AND
(3) And if it IS the same IDE as the original Dev C, can I just install the wxDev C++ right over top of my existing Dev C ?
AND
And can (or how would) I keep all my IDE settings I have now ?
Is there an XML or INI file that has all that ?
Reallly appreciate any info you can give me on this. I just now found this wxDev C but like the aspect of a visual Resource IDE.
