I installed version 7.4.2 and now wxDev-C++ wont open. When running the executable I get a small dialog with the title being "Information" that says "Please wait a moment..." and then closes. A bugreport.txt is generated in the Dev-Cpp folder:

Wow. That's an interesting bug. I'll take a look at this and see why it thinks 8.0 isn't a valid floating point number.

Ooops. I think I just figured it out.

It looks like your system language is Greek. I'm assuming your floating point decimal separator is a comma , not a period .

It looks like strtofloat is expecting 8,0 as the floating point and not 8.0. I'll have to figure out how to fix this, but it shouldn't take too long.

I'm on a brief holiday right now, but will get a fix by next week.

What happens if you don't include the filename ("C:\Users\Alex\Documents\Ληφθέντα αρχεία\2011_ask1.c") in the command line?
Does the IDE start correctly? Can you then open the file?

After installing wxdevcpp_7.4.2.1_full_setup.exe I have this problem with Ukrainian language too. In bugreport.txt I have this line:

exception message : '8.0' is not a valid floating point value.

Ok. I thought with 7.4.2.1 that I had fixed the bug. (I added a "try except" code to handle the case). psxlover told me that it worked, but apparently it is not in your case. I'll keep working and let you know. I might need to send you a test program to get a better sense of how to fix it. Would you be willing to help run a very simple test program to see how the code is behaving on your platform?

But You can to model this bug in your PC. Just change delimiter in system settings (Control Panel \ Regional and Language Options \ Regional Options tab \ Customize \ Numbers tab) and installed program will not work.
