Panels disappear when trying to re-pin

Hi,

I just upgraded to the 7.4 release last week and things have been running smoothly for the most part.

Today I attempted to re-pin the panels (Ex: Compile, Resources), and now they have disappeared completed. In View->Panels, they all show up as being ON, and if I attempt to uncheck/check again, it does nothing. Restarted program a couple times, same situation. Tried re-pinning the Project Manager to the left-side as well, and it has also disappeared. I am re-installing the program since I am in a time crunch, but this is something to be checked out.

Cheers,

Alan

I've seen reports like this before, but have never had luck repeating them.

One workaround is to delete the layout.ini file in your AppData directory and restarting the program. It should be in C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Dev-Cpp.

My guess is that somehow this file was corrupted and led the panels to disappear.

Thanks for the reply. When I am done with my project in a couple of weeks I will see if I can repeat this process.

Also, will try deleting the layout.ini as you have suggested if I am able to repeat the process.

It might be interesting if you can create a copy of layout.ini in that directory. This way-- if the problem repeats-- you can compare the original with the version after the bug occurred. It would definitely point me in the right direction.
