If you are using wxDev-C++ for your wxWidgets design, please ask your questions here instead of in IDE Related.

fatal error: had to relocate PCH

Post by Ephesian » Wed Sep 14, 2011 4:57 pm

I'm new to wxDevC++ (and C++ in general). I've downloaded and installed version 7.0 (build To test it out I followed Malcolm Nealon's Minimal Example, where he shows the reader how to create a basic wxWidgets Frame and run it.

In the tutorial he states "Once the Project is open we need to simply press F9 and the program should compile and run without error producing:". But mine does produce an error. Here it is the Compileer Log output:

Code: Select all

internal error in mingw32_gt_pch_use_address, at config/i386/host-mingw32.c:131: MapViewOfFileEx: Attempt to access invalid address.
01App.cpp:1: fatal error: had to relocate PCH
compilation terminated.

mingw32-make.exe: *** [Objects/MingW/01App.o] Error 1

Execution terminated
Compilation Failed. Make returned 2
I'm running Windows XP Sp3. If there is any other information you need from me, let me know. Thank you.

Do you have a previously installed version of MinGW gcc or MSys on your computer?

Also, the latest version is 7.3.1 not 7. We should be releasing 7.4 in about a week or so.

Everybody's got something to hide except for me and my monkey.
