Can't link headers

Post by flyinggreg » Sat Apr 28, 2007 11:09 am

I just downloaded and installed wxDev-C++ 6.10-2. Everything appears to be working correctly EXCEPT I can not compile. I keep getting an error that the header files cannot be found. I have noticed the includes use the format "wx/wxh.h"...note the forward slash. Do I need to go through ALL the headers and change the slashes to \ to fix the problem? Or is there other settings I need to fix?

Thanks

Tools > compiler settings > Directories > C++ includes. Check that the wxWidgets path is there (C:\Program Files\wxDev-C++\include\common) for most computers.

OS? machine?

i'd tend to clean uninstall (with following regCleaning) and then reinstall.

and NO, you don't have to change slahes to backslashes, no matter wether you are running windows or not... but remember that includes of the form

Code: Select all

    #include "wx/wx.h"
point to files in the same directory. changing it to

Code: Select all

    #include <wx/wx.h>
might help (pointing to the specified 'include'-dirs, mind the '<>').
