where is wxNotebookSizer

Post by zhvickie » Mon Apr 09, 2007 1:21 pm

I want to add several panels in the notebook.
However, the canvas of panel cannot automatically resize themselves.
Thus, I figure out it by google...
http://www.wxwidgets.org/manuals/2.8/wx ... rogramming
http://lists.wxwidgets.org/archive/wx-u ... 58151.html

The codes cannot be compiled under wxdevcpp.

It seems the wxNotebooksizer is not declared.

Why?

There is no "wxNotebookSizer" ever since I came and started using wx (which was sometime during 2.5.x). I think you mean the wxBoxSizer.

Did you read the first line of that link?
This class is deprecated and should not be used in new code! It is no longer needed, wxNotebook control can be inserted into any sizer class and its minimal size will be determined correctly. See wxSizer overview for more information.
The class was deprecated. It no longer is used in wxWidgets (or shouldn't be).

What I do for this is, I add wxNotebookPage (which is nothing by wxPanel but specific to NoteBook) and set the expanded property and make the stretch factor to 1. Then add a box sizer/grid sizer depending on your need(whose expand and stretch factor needs to be set).
