MinGW Developers?

Hi,

Youi've got some nice forums here.

Can I ask if you could make another category for those of us who use MinGW tools with wxWidgets? I get the impression from the maillist that the wxWidgets community seem to think MinGW.org should handle this topic, but they don't as they provide their own non-graphical tools. Lately there have been several issues for me and others about trying to compile wxWidgets with MinGW, much less using it on both Linux and MSW platforms (and yes the ultimate goal is to make a royalty free Win32 executable using wxMSW and MinGW. In my case, I am creating a program which runs on both Windows and Linux...wxMSW and wxGTK by just using a different Makefile while keeping the Source code exactly the same).

Anyhow, I thought I'd ask.

Thanks,
--James

You can ask in C++ Users - there are quite a few people who use DevC++/MinGW here.

I use mingw and borland builder on windows. If you have any questions I can probably help you.

BTW, about devcpp: Is it me, or is the debugger really bad ? I can't properly step through a program.

Hi there, if you have more ideas about integrating different IDE's as category into the forum, please post them in the "General | Forum Topics" thread so people can comment on that. The forum categories need to change a bit, so any ideas are welcome.

Hmmm... mayby a sticky for each compiler would be better? Having a forum for each compiler seems overkill...

Well maybe one forum about IDE related stuff will also do? I would prevend using more then two stickies per forum. So I think if we place IDE / Environment Questions somewhere as well, that will be much appreciated..
