Using a scripting engine

Post by silcreval » Sun Mar 29, 2020 5:31 pm

I'd like to add scripting to an existing wxWidgets app. The app is C++ and I've updated it to v 3.1.3 in the main now.

The scripting engine can be any reasonable language, and is to allow users to extend the app functionality a bit with scripts, rather than adding more tools :)

What would be the best approach ?

Hi,
What kind of scripting language you are looking for?
Perl? Python? Ruby?

Keep in mind that python has its own wxWidgets binding that is actively maintained.

Thank you.
