catalin,
I just tried to build the static version of the minimal, copy over the vld_x86.dll and dbghelp.dll, but got the same crash.

Can you reproduce this (maybe not necesary on the same environment)?

Thank you.

VS 2017, VLD v2.5.1, minimal sample built as {static debug x64, DLL debug x86, DLL debug x64}, they all worked without issue and correctly reported intentionally created mem leaks, with the stack trace that created them. wxW master branch was a couple of days old at most.

Hi,
This is really weird.
Are you trying it on the Windows 8.1 or 10?
Also, where did you put the vld.h line?

Thank you.

P.S.: Also I have MSVC 15.7.5.
