Transaltions in 2.9

Post by raananb » Fri Jun 21, 2013 7:47 am

2.9 changed the way wxWidgets manages translations: while 2.8 essentially depended on wxLocale (see sample Internat), 2.9 aims at separating system language and UI language, in line with the evoultion of Windows & OSX.

A pretty extensive tutorial was posted for 2.8 technology (http://wxwidgets.info/wxtranslation/).

It would be nice if a similar tutorial for 2.9 technology was available. Anybody knowledable enough to provide one?

Could you be more specific, please: system, your application code related to translation, file structure.

+1

I didn't know this evolution in wxWidgets 2.9 (I'm using the 2.9.4) and will think about translation in a near future for my current project... So, I'm very interested to hear about this subject too (I mean, if there's really a fondamental change from what we can read in the wxWiki about localization).
