Formated Text WYSIWYG Editor

Post by krysa » Sun May 15, 2005 9:11 am

Hello, i am currently working on application, that requires "Formated Text WYSIWYG Editor". It should support this:
1) text styles (bold, italic, underline, alignement, vertical-alignement, font, font-size, text-color, background-color etc.);
2) images (inserting image into text, changing it's size, border, float-left, float-right, float-none (like in HTML+CSS));
3) lists (creating lists (numbered etc.));
4) tables (creating, adding new line, adding new column, merging/splitting cells etc.);
5) copy/paste for formated/unformated text (copy/paste should work with MSWord etc, Notepad (without formating) etc).

What i need is a widget that i could use for HTML+CSS editing. I don't realy care about what is the internal format, because i could write my own converter into HTML+CSS.
The application i am working on would store most of the HTML document and CSS stylesheat into database, and later some PHP scripts on web page would generate HTML content, part of wich would be the generated HTML+CSS.

Are there any existing (wx)widgets for that?
I read about gecko (mozilla) - i don't realy understand what is writen on embed gecko project page, i tried to download wxMozilla, but that doesn't compile with wxMSW2.6.0. Are there any other solutions? Or maybe you know some good resources (for dummies) about gecko (mozilla) solution?

Thanks in advance.
Platform: MSW (Windows XP Pro)
Compiler: msvc 13.10.3077 (Free Toolkit)
wxWidgets: v2.6.0

http://www.w3.org/Amaya/ (Amaya) does something like this and I even think it is currently built on WX. Its not as good of a renderer as Mozilla or IE though. Maybe a place to start?
