Getting a wxScrolledWindow to scroll

Post by Gordon Drego » Fri Mar 18, 2005 7:12 am

Hi friends,

I am working on Xandros 2.5 [kernel 2.4.24-x1] and creating User Interfaces with wxPython.

I have a Frame with a ScrolledWindow as one of its child. This ScrolledWindow also has multiple widgets on it.

My problem is that the ScrolledWindow goes on increasing in height when a new widget is added to it [in a vertical sizer] instead of a scrollbar appearing. I have tried all the possible options but couldn't get the ScrolledWindow scrolling.

Can someone help me with this? I am using Python 2.3.2 and wxWidgets 2.5.3.

Thanks in advance.

Have you tried to look at the sample scrollwin ? In there a lot of examples are shown how to use the wxScrolledWindow.

Hi Jorgen,

Are you referring to the wxPython Demo? If not, please do let me know from where can I get these samples.

Additionally, I have tried using a ScrolledPanel as well, but wasn't successful.

Thanks
Gordon
