wxGetEnv returns wrong val ?

Post by armink » Mon Mar 14, 2005 7:56 am

Hello,

I try to get the value of the TEMP variable under Win XP.

Its value is

c:\documents and settings\user ... etc

But when I use GetEnv, it returns a path like

c:\docume~1\user\... etc ...

Anybody a clue whats wrong ?

Working with wx2.4.2/XP/Cygwin

Hi!
Anybody a clue whats wrong ?
There's nothing wrong, except that the variables only return the paths on 8.3 notation.
OS: OpenSuSE, Ubuntu, Win XP Pro
wx: svn
Compiler: gcc 4.5.1, VC 2008, eVC 4

but I need the full notation for further use of the path.

So I have to find another solution ?

Hi!
Maybe wxFileName::CreateTempFileName() could be of some help?
