Get and check directory user rights

Post by armink » Tue Mar 01, 2005 6:18 am

Hello !

I'm working with cygwin and wx making quickly small tools when needed just for internal use in our department.

The problem: sometimes colleages copy the exes into directories where they have no execution rights (only read/write). When dblclicking the exe, it results in a crash and a dump file is created.
When starting from a dir with execution rights, all works fine.

Is there a way in wxWindows to find out what rights a user in the current directory has, to prevent and give a hint before continue running the program ?

I think this must be a combination of:

wxGetCWD()

And yes, then I miss some kind of attribute function .. I think you need to make this platform dependent, and dig through the stdio / stdlib functions to see what return the attributes..
