libxml or xerces

Post by mendi » Mon Jan 15, 2007 7:55 am

Hi

I'm doing a project with wxwindows and c++ in linux. I finished the part of wxwindows and now I need to create a xml page.
my proyect is simple. I don't know what parser I can use. I only want a parser validator. I read in forums and there are two parsers that people recomended: libxml2 and xerces. I tried to find some information about those two libraries but I couldn't collect anything to make up the decission. I need that information for my dissertation, so I would be very grateful if somebody could tell me what option is better. Thanks!

I usually use tinyxml.
But for if you only need to write an xml file, you also code that yourself.

You can use internal wx Xml features [1] or I suggest you to use libxml [2]. It is free, light and fast and you can use the wxXml2 [3] xhich is a wrapper for libxml2 in wx.

good coding.

I'm sorry. I didn't explain it good. I need to create a xml page but I need to get information of the xml page too.

Thanks for your recomendation phlox81, but I read that TinyXML doesn't validate. So I prefer Xerces or libXML.
