chm doc problem on Linux

Post by Ronald »

OS: Manjaro
DOC: wxWidgets-3.1.5.chm from official site

results when view it use the tools below:
  • Okular
    freeze forever
  • xCHM
the layout is poor, and links just go to the top of current page
  • KchmViewer
only left side pane works, no content in the main view

Hi,

.chm is a Windows format; that file is provided for people who have not yet upgraded to Linux ;)

For Linux, download the doc-html tarball.

David

html doesn't support index.
BTW, I have switched between Manjaro and Windows 10 more than 10 times recently, I have to say that Linux (`X11`) is really much slower. It says that `wayland` is 3 times faster than `X11`, but it failed to login with `wayland`.
What Windows is not good for me is that it has a lot of telemetries, for checking: https://github.com/undergroundwires/privacy.sexy, but it is really much much faster.
