find-wx-requires command

Post by plopes_aet »

Hello,

I'd like to know when wx-requires command was removed from wxWidgets on SLES. I was using on wxWidgets 2.8 that command but now I upgraded to 3.2-devel and I cant find the command. Is there other command that replace it?

The commands find-wx-requires and find-wx-provides in SLES12 is installed on /usr/lib64/wx-2.8-stl/wx/rpm

Hi,

AFAICT (and google seems to agree) find-wx-requires was a script called by e.g. the openSUSE wxWidgets.spec that was used during their packaging process to create a wxWidgets rpm. It's nothing to do with wxWidgets itself.

What were you doing in wx2.8 that made you use the script? Are you sure you still need it? If so, perhaps you should be discussing this with the openSUSE people.

Regards,

David
