MouseEvents MAC OS

Post by ptbremer » Wed Oct 27, 2004 6:15 pm

Hi there,

I have started working with wxwindos under MAC Os and I have some
trouble with mouse event...

First, I'm running

wxWindows 2.4.2
g++ 3.3
and OS X 10.3.5

Even for the example programs (like openGL/Cube) I get only part of the
mouse events. For example LeftIsDown() seems to work fine and I can drag
objects etc. However LeftDown() never gets an event. When I tried button(-1)
it seems that I only get an event if a mouse button comes up but not it is pressed down. This happens both with a normal windows mouse as well as with the touchpad mouse (laptop).

My other problem is most likley related ....I cannot get full focus to my
wxWindows. If the window happens to be on top you can interact with it, but if it is behind another window it never comes forward. Also menus that should appear at the top of the screen never appear.....

Any ideas ?

Thanks
Timo

Ok I found it out... finally... but if anyone has the same problem...

I forgot to run the Rez tool on my output...

after building TARGET you have to run

/Developer/Tools/Rez -t APPL Carbon.r /usr/local/lib/libwx_mac-2.4.0.r -o TARGET

or something similar.... check the wx-config --rezflags.... so not a MAC problem at all.... human error...as always
