wxDirDialog doesn't expand directories containing only links

Post by Martin » Thu Aug 11, 2005 11:27 am

Hello friends of wxWidgets,

I am using wxGTK 2.6.1 and gcc 4.0.1 on an AMD64 Fedora Core RC 4 box.

In my home directory there is a directory called 'links'. It only contains symbolic links to other directories on our network. If I open a wxDirDialog with the default path pointing to my home directory, the 'links' directory is displayed, but it cannot be expanded. However, if I open the dialog with a default path of e.g. /home/martin/links/apps (which does not even have to exist), then all the other links in the links directory are displayed. It also works perfectly if there is at least one real directory (i.e. it displays all the links as expandable items).

Is this a bug or intended like this, or am I simply not aware of an option which can be passed to the wxDirDialog?

Regards,

Martin
