Porting to Mac from cold

Do you have a typical platform dependent issue you're battling with ? Ask it here. Make sure you mention your platform, compiler, and wxWidgets version.

Porting to Mac from cold

Post by xaxero » Wed Jul 20, 2005 11:36 am

Hi Team,
I have just started porting to mac from cold and have found the initial step fairly painless and congratulate the team on an excellent job. All the samples compiled perfectly and using the output from the makefiles I was able to get my own programs to compile and run.

One thing I did notice was that under MSX Tiger/ Xcode 2.1, WxWidgets 2.5 is pre installed and the older wxconfig symlink is higher up the path chain. While it did not take long to figure this out, my question is the following:

Are there any documentation resources for somebody experienced in wx but new to mac ? I have several open issues with Icons etc and how the make files use Rez and sed to initialize the executable and link to Icons etc.

thanks
