there is an issue with wxTextCtrl after wxWidget 2.4.2: TE_MULTILINE and HSCROLL (DialogBlocks point of view) options doesn't work together: we can't see what is writen.
I see this problem on wxWidget 2.6.1, 2.6.0 and 2.5.5 for Mac OS X.
