captured mouse and keyboard

Do you have a typical platform dependent issue you're battling with ? Ask it here. Make sure you mention your platform, compiler, and wxWidgets version.

captured mouse and keyboard

Post by Evgeny » Fri Oct 08, 2004 1:48 pm

Hi, I have the following problems with mouse capturing.

At linux, gcc 3.4.2, wxWidgets 2.4.2(gtk 1.2):
When mouse has been captured by CaptureMouse() function in wxGLCanvas and mouse leaves program window wxEVT_KEY_UP events aren't generated, but wxEVT_KEY_DOWN events are generated right.

At ms windows, mingw, gcc 3.4.2, wxWidgets 2.4.2:
When mouse has been captured by CaptureMouse() function in wxGLCanvas and mouse leaves program window wxEVT_MOTION events aren't generated, but wxEVT_KEY_UP and wxEVT_KEY_DOWN events are generated right.

I use dynamic events on both OS.

Thanks in Advance!

The first thing to do is, is there a sample you can check for the capture functionality? If this indeed doesn't work, check the help if they should be generated (I guess so) and provide a minimal code patch (meaning you take the minimal sample, paste in as minimal code to reproduce the issues and have a compiling sample, and then patch it to the SF bug report list.

Hope this helps a bit ..
