Font size issue in Linux

Post by joeman » Mon Feb 26, 2007 4:21 pm

Hello all
My GUI is clean on windows and Mac, when running the same application on Linux, all texts become unaligned, the fonts on Linux seems bigger than the fonts on the PC and Mac.

How can I declare a font that will be used for ALL controls (including texts, buttons, checkboxes, ...) so I can redefine a smaller font when compiling on Linux ?

something like :

#ifdef __LINUX__
Myframe->SetFont(....)
#endif

I also tried the following :

#ifdef __LINUX__
wxSystemOptions::SetOption(wxWINDOW_DEFAULT_VARIANT, wxWINDOW_VARIANT_SMALL);
#endif

the above doesnt change anything !
thnaks

I don't think
#ifdef __LINUX__
is standard, are you sure the code inside it is compiled? Or maybe it's a symbol you define yourself
