Finally got all the ducks in a row and my mail screener project is now on github, as is the support program rcstamp - though an executable for it is part of wxMS

Nice. You should explicitly state a license under which the code is released.
Use the source, Luke!

Re: wxMS - Mail Screener is now available on Github
Bravo! I'm using Mailwasher for screening (an old version too:) and PopMan (sounds discontinued and neither UTF-8 nor HTML compliant) for POP/IMAP monitoring and preview. Since my regular email client is still Eudora (never found better in spite of its low UTF-8 support), long time ago, I wrote a tiny tool called EB2MWFL to whitelist my Eudora books against Mailwasher. Well, this to say that wxMS is bookmarked for future trial (could maybe replace both Mailwasher and Popman)...

Re: wxMS - Mail Screener is now available on Github
The only real beef I had with my old Mailwasher was no UTF-8 support and that was bothering more with time.
I do recall Eudora and had even used it for some time.
Because my ISP is using and supporting POP3, I never had the need for IMAP.
Same goes for bouncing messages; I found it of very little use because the bad guys did not respect it in the first place and for the good guys, unsubscribing was the better way to go
Hope you'll find it useful

There is a ready-made copy as well as an install file of my own version in the directory ./Executables if you just want to try it out without rebuilding.

Re: wxMS - Mail Screener is now available on Github
On my part, it's not as important because I only use Mailwasher (v. Pro 6.0) for filtering. I never use it for preview (I have PopMan upstream for this). My workflow is PopMan to see important messages in "realtime" (every 15mn) --> MailWasher (to clean-up the accumulated stack, one or two times per week) -> Eudora (for final storing one time a week and knowing Eudora has its own screening and junk folder which is complementary to MailWasher).Widgets wrote:The only real beef I had with my old Mailwasher was no UTF-8 support and that was bothering more with time.
Thanks for the hint; it may ease the flow in these busy daysWidgets wrote:There is a ready-made copy as well as an install file of my own version in the directory ./Executables if you just want to try it out without rebuilding.

wxMS also has a preview facility. Originally it was invoked with SPACE (same as my old Mailwasher 2.0 freebie) but after my efforts to port it to Ubuntu, where SPACE seemed to be bound to something else, I moved it to Alt-Space
