wx/wx.h: No such file or directory

Do you have a question about makefiles, a compiler or IDE you are using and need to know how to set it up for wxWidgets or why it doesn't compile but other IDE's do ? Post your questions here.

wx/wx.h: No such file or directory

Post by sapthagiri » Wed Feb 08, 2017 1:54 pm

OS used: Debian 7.4 (wheezy), 32-bit.

Compiled wxWidgets 3.1 & then copied relevant folders i.e (lib, bin, include) from wxWidgets 3.1 to my local application
(i.e under /tools/linux/wx: lib, include, bin).
Now if I build my application, facing compilation error:
"wx/wx.h: No such file or directory".
I have installed all relevant packages.

Also rules added in the makefile:
CPPLIB = $(LFLAGS) `wx-config --libs`

Kindly provide your inputs.

As you added `wx-config --libs` as a linker rule, you should add `wx-config --cxxflags` to the compiler rules.

Also, check that these 2 commands give you the corrects parameters (try to enter them in a terminal window).
