problem when upgrading to wx2.8.9

Do you have a question about makefiles, a compiler or IDE you are using and need to know how to set it up for wxWidgets or why it doesn't compile but other IDE's do ? Post your questions here.

Post by hilda » Thu Mar 12, 2009 4:43 am

Hi.. all..

In my system wx242 is running( borland 5.5, windows xp )

Now i want upgrade it to latest..

downloaded wx289 and compiled( make -f makefile.bcc in msw\build ) it using borland 5.5..

compiled minimal.cpp
all running fine.

but when i tried to compile /samples/widgets/widgets.cpp, its showing this.
make -f makefile.bcc
MAKE Version 5.2 Copyright (c) 1987, 2000 Borland
if not exist bcc_mswd mkdir bcc_mswd
ilink32 -Tpe -q -LD:\Borland\BCC55\lib -LD:\Borland\BCC55\lib\psdk -v -L.\..\..\lib\bcc_lib -aa @[email protected]@@

** error -1073741819 ** deleting bcc_mswd\widgets.exe

Whal will I do?

Not sure how to fix that specific Borland issue. Give Visual Studio Express a try (its free). VS works well, I use it when I'm forced into programming on a Windoze box.
/* UIKit && wxWidgets 2.8 && Cocoa && .Net */
wxPCRE & ObjPCRE - Regex It!
