./configure option to select toolkit

Do you have a question about makefiles, a compiler or IDE you are using and need to know how to set it up for wxWidgets or why it doesn't compile but other IDE's do ? Post your questions here.

./configure option to select toolkit

Post by Menion » Fri Oct 13, 2006 6:40 pm

Hi, I'm using wxWidget to compile amule. Currently I'm running amuled on a Kurobox a PPC Linux based NAT with "extended" features. It doesn't have any graphics adapter, so I don't need WxGTK but only WxBase (for amule daemon). I found that trying to compile WxWidget full package, the ./configure for default set the toolkit to GTK with consequential errors. If I download WxBase the ./configure is correct and so the compiling. Am I forced to us WxBase package or is there a ./configure option to select "base" toolkit instead of "GTK" for Linux compiling of WxWidger full package? Bye!!!

I believe there are some command line switches when invoking 'configure' that allow you to select out GTK if you don't need it.

Look at --disable-gtk2, --with-gtk, --with-x, etc.

If you wana compile wx without any GUI (wxBase), you can configure :

Code: Select all

./configure --disable-gui
