RSS feeds now available!

Post by wxadmin »

Upon special request, I have implemented a modification that allows an RSS feed for this forum. If you want RSS syndication, simply follow this link:

Wow! Nice board and RSS feeds!

Two requests:
1) Syntax highlighted code
2) RSS feed with entire message text

Beats the heck out of the "webcam-infested" mailing lists!

Thanks Ryan,

As for the RSS, it is a mod so I don't know if I or the original author can do that. I will have to discuss this with him.

Syntax highlighted code, might be available as a mod as well. I will look into this as well. Would be cool indeed :P

As shown in Firefox if you look right at the RSS feed:
http://forums.wxwidgets.org/rss.php

The whole post is there, it's up to your RSS viewer settings to show it.

I have consulted with the original creator and he also mentioned that the whole text is there. So it's your aggregator. Now that I check with RSS Bandit I see it too.

By the way, RSS Bandit is my first choice RSS reader so if you are on the windows platform you should check it out :-) it's free and can sync it's contents between multiple pc's which is cool if you want to know what articles you already read and what not.

I use it for some time already and have only one proble I hope solvable... After weekend I see only 15 last messages. Could it be possible to make this count larger or even better, "personalize" rss, (rss.xml?user=NNN where NNN would be my user number) and force it to return new items since last visit?

Hi there,

Customizing for every user might be hard. Are you a die-hard php guru ? The only addition to this for RSS is the php script rss.php. So if I can make it report the last 30 or 50 we should also be OK.
