Test forum created!

Post by Jorg »

Ok guys, you screamed for a public beta, here it is:

http://www.solidsteel.nl/users/wxtest/index.php

This forum will be used to develop new mods. Once they need to be tested a bit, UpCase, lowjoel, Tyler and me will ask for some volunteers. Most users will be removed, I need a SQL query for this. I will make the forum public postable so no login is required. This lowers the threshold a bit.

Thanks,

And what kind of mods would you be interested in implementing? Or just anything that someone might come up with (anything like in useful and sticked to the rules, if you know what I mean)

Well right now we are implementing the Answered Questions Mod .. this mod allows people to mark posts as answers, and gather points for answering the questions. This is also extremely helpful when searching, so you know a topic contains useful information and it helped the original poster.

For future mods, I don't know yet. But at least we have a playground now where we can try out new stuff :-)

Oh, so, who is(are) the webmaster(s)? aka the one(s) who have access to the public_html and stuff?
So what you;re trying to say is that moderators will make mods and people can heavily test them in this alternative phpBB installation?

Are you just "making conversation" or you indeed need the SQL query?

If you have followed the Answered Mod thread, you will see that UpCase made the Mod, lowjoel wants to help, tyler too, and i will look into things as well.

I gave them access to the FTP account on the test forum, so they can test their stuf there (with some communication) .. when it is sound, I will diff te code with my forum code, see what is changed, and apply the code here.
Are you just "making conversation" or you indeed need the SQL query?
What do you think ? ;-)

Since my sarcasm detector is off ATM, Ill just throw myself.
The question is, did you just copied the tables in the DB, then basically made a "mirror" installation of the one here? (It seems so to me)

If you were just making conversation, Im sorry, I underestimated your "Site Admin" skills :D
