Just a little suggestion of improvement

Post by GianT »

Hello, I noticed that several times, people post question that hava already been solved or that have been begun to be solved (forgive my english ^^).

I don't know if it's possible, but why not add a search engine in the forum?

You mean like;

http://forums.wxwidgets.org/search.php ?

It is there since day #1 ;-) but if people do not follow the rules, by searching for their answer first, then they will be asked double :(

Google is your friend... if you need weighted search results, try this:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=& ... tnG=Search

It's always been there for the newsgroup (which mirrors the mailing list) as well:

When you really look for answer strings, then the board has to put extra effort in defining every thread as an answer ..

There was a discussion here to close posts that were answered to satisfaction, to ease up looking for open answers. However I wasn't able to find a mod for phpBB that does that.
