Another problem with the forum

Hi, Mods,
I don't know if this is a problem or a feature, but would like to say something so that the issue will be confirmed.

As I am a dual-language speaking person, I started using Russian wxForum, when it appeared. Currently, I have 1 un-answered thread there.

When I enter the forum, on top of the page I see how many un-answered threads I have. It is indicated that currently I have 11 un-answered threads. Next to it is the link to display all un-answered threads.

When I click on this link, I am receiving only threads that are located in the English forums only. Shouldn't it include all un-answered threads (English + Russian)?

As I observe, the functionality of listing unanswered questions is based on the searching engine of the forum, yet the search engine seems to support English only----you can neither search for a Russsian post nor a Chinese post.

This problem may be caused by one of the following reasons:

1) search engine issue

then it will require technical fixing....but I don't think this is the case.

2) database encoding incompatibility

this is my best guess.

this is a issue that all of us are looking forward to fix, it can be completed by a full encoding conversion of the forum database, yet it's dangerous and time-consuming when it's to be done through the internet remotely. That's why it still hasn't been done.
