Xara Xtreme to use wxWidgets?

Post by leio » Wed Oct 12, 2005 8:31 pm

Yesterday Xara announced going Open Source and Linux/Mac with Xara Xtreme - "the fastest most versatile graphics software available" - http://www.xaraxtreme.org/news/11-10-05.html

Guess what it uses for the GUI for the linux preview? :wink:

PS: The wxWidgets information dialog appears when you hold ctrl and alt and click the middle mouse button on most places (doesn't work for certain controls that use the mouse event for themselves).
Compilers: gcc-3.3.6, gcc-3.4.5, gcc-4.0.2, gcc-4.1.0 and MSVC6
OS's: Gentoo Linux, WinXP; WX: CVS HEAD

Project Manager of wxMUD - http://wxmud.sf.net/
Developer of wxGTK;
gtk+ port maintainer of OMGUI - http://www.omgui.org/

Yay! I can finally reach the forums now :) .

The watermark is pretty cool, but it may also be annoying (especially for commercial products). Is there any way to turn this off?

And kudos to Xara for going OS. Maybe now someone can work on a decent animation system!
