Nod for wxWidgets from Scribus

Post by Jorg » Sat Sep 04, 2004 7:06 am

This is a quote from Chris Mellon from the wx mailing list:
wxWidgets gets a nod from the developers of Scribus:
http://www.linuxdevcenter.com/pub/a/lin ... tml?page=1

Looks like they use Qt, but at least one dev wished they used wx instead ;)

Scribus -
  • I never even heard of them until they were mentioned on the mailing list, but somehow they have skyrocketed to a high plane in the linux world
  • I'm still not sure what it's advantages are over OO.org, for instance...
  • Looks like QT worked out for them in the end anyway...
  • They made their own printer engine
  • They have some really knowlegable devs behind it...
