the wxSF 1.3.0 (http://sourceforge.net/projects/wxsf/) has been released today. This release contains many new features, bug fixes and improvements and is tested on both MS Windows and Linux target platforms. At a first look - very good.
I also thougt about using OGL, but yours seems really better. Do you have also tested the sources build under Mac OS X ?
Do you support scriptable shapes ?
Long - very long time ago I have written a graphical application that used a self written language to implement various shapes. (Pascal like)
Also an Idea - if not yet done - pluggable shapes.
