Launch Default E-mail?

Post by Ksmith22 » Fri Apr 07, 2006 6:30 pm

I didn't see this, but maybe I missed it. Is there a function like wxLaunchDefaultBrowser() for e-mail?

For example, if I type:
mailto:[email protected] ([email protected] - had to use the [email] tag here)

And click that link, it opens up the default e-mail program with a message to that person (in IE anyways). Does wxWidgets have something similar to that?

P.S. - I did try wxLaunchDefaultBrowser("mailto: ...") but it didn't work.

use ::wxExecute || ::wxShell

Hope that helps.

in the contrib folder there is "net". It has email-capabilities. I once used it, it worked ok.

(it does start the default-mail-client).
