Try wxLogDebug
wxLogDebug works thanks! I guess this solves the problem  #-o

Or, if wxLogDebug() output is consumed by the debugger and may not be shown (e.g., gdb on MSW), one can try good old wxPrintf(). However, this probably won't be shown on MSW.
I'm on Linux, wxLogDebug is printing fine to console, so I suppose this fixes my problem, seeing how everything was just a std::cout thing :P

Hi,
Why do you need to print anything on the console?
This is a GUI application and you user will start by double clicking the icon.
It is pretty much useless...
Thank you.

It's still a good debugging tool. I use wxLogDebug all the time under Windows, although i do know how to use a debugger ;)
Use the source, Luke!

I'm not a very experienced C++ developer, I sometimes need to see what I'm doing by printing the output of some function or something to console to make sure, as the application I'm making is WIP, but of course when its time to release I will remove all the print statements.

And with the help of all the people like you, I learn something new everyday, and move a step forward in my C++ journey. :D

Hey, the wxLogDebug is working great so far, I have replaced all the print statements I needed with wxLogDebug, I did change some to wxLogInfo, but it seems like nothing except wxLogDebug prints anything, do I need to set a log level or something so both wxLogDebug and wxLogInfo statements prints, and maybe wxLogWarning as well..? Its not a huge problem, just something that can tell me difference between where the statement is coming from.
