Re: wxASSERT_MSG and wxCHECK_MSG calls crashing app
There is no assertion, on the call to wxCHECK_MSG, where the condition will not cause an assertion, the application stops, the process is still running but no stack available and no more stepping in the debugger. I am actually running this on the ARM7 Win EC7 platform.
Re: wxASSERT_MSG and wxCHECK_MSG calls crashing app
Hi,
I understand that.
What I'm looking for is the backtrace prior to entering the ASSERT_MSG/CHECK_MSG and what function call results in the assert.
I'm also curious if minimal/thread samples can be run without any issues on that platform.
Thank you.

Re: wxASSERT_MSG and wxCHECK_MSG calls crashing app
Can you build and run the "minimal" sample that comes with wxWidgets?
The callstack looks normal, i'm wondering if maybe wxWidgets gets initialized twice. Is there anything "not normal" about how you initialize wxWidgets? Do you use the standard wxWidgets macros for wxApp initialization?

Use the source, Luke!

Re: wxASSERT_MSG and wxCHECK_MSG calls crashing app
I have an wxWidgets application someone wrote and gave me. I recompiled and linked it with my wxWidgets libs and it run fine on the ARM7 target.
I believe the issue may be stack space or something in my application configuration.

Hi,
If that application is running fine, then:
1. It doesn't use MT or the function you use.
or
2. Something is wrong on the project properties.
Thank you.
Like I said - try minimal or a thread sample from wx distribution.

Re: wxASSERT_MSG and wxCHECK_MSG calls crashing app
Something is wrong with the properties in the app that is acting wierd. Almost acts like a stack issue.
Thanks for all the help! Both of You!
